Explorer Scouts are young people
aged between 14 and 18, who want to get something more out of life.
Explorer Scouting has just started, replacing existing
Venture Scout Units, as part of the changes to Scouting.
Explorers meet as a Unit with adult Leaders, where they organise their
programme of activities to suit their own needs.
Explorer Scouting can involve you in just about anything, from climbing high
mountain peaks, to travelling on trips with other Explorers from around the
Country.
Explorer Scouts work towards three awards, the "Diamond Chief Scouts Awards",
the "Platinum Chief Scouts Awards" and, the "Queen's Scout Award". Those who
achieve this high standard each year are invited to take part in the annual
Easter Sunday parade at Windsor Castle.
Explorer Scouts can also work on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
If you fit into our age range, and your looking for something more out of life
